Thats me in that picture to the right.

Photographs are such an important aspect of my life, capturing candid

moments of my family and friends, recording memories like first days

at school, a dance medal win, Christmas eve traditions and simply

documenting how my children grow and change as they develop.

It was this importance that first motivated me to begin Captured By Sara,

I was always the one at family events snapping away. I took pleasure in 

being able to capture all the fun and joy of those moments.

I decided I wanted to set up Captured By Sara after having my daughter

in 2012, I realised documenting her life was so important, it was key to

our future relationship as her dad and I could sit with her and look back

on the images and talk to her about the memories. Once my son came

along in 2019 I knew I couldn't keep it as a hobby any more I wanted to

be a photographer, a family photographer. As he grew and my newborn 

became a toddler I started to fit work and sessions in around childcare

and slowly built up a portfolio and a client base,

Fast forward to 2019 and I had both children in school and wanted to be

able to increase the amount of work I was able to take on.

This was when I decided to build my garden studio, inviting clients over in

to my lounge to shoot a session was too intrusive in family life and it was

restrictive. I wanted somewhere I could call work,that I could at busy periods like Christmas leave set up over many nights and come in everyday and shoot

without needing to recreate the set up from the day before.
